Airports

If your attendance at STAM 2026 requires air travel, we strongly recommend that you choose to arrive and depart from Washington Dulles International Airport (Dulles). Although there are three major airports that service the Washington, D.C., area, Dulles is the closest to the Hyatt Regency Reston, located just six miles away. Reagan Washington National Airport (National Airport) and Baltimore/Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport (BWI) are 24 miles and 53 miles from the Hyatt Regency Reston, respectively. Metrorail (Metro) service is available from both Dulles and National Airport to Reston Town Center on Metro’s Silver Line. A map of the Metro system can be viewed on this Metro website.

From Dulles to the HotelPicture of Dulles Airport

A taxicab or ride service from Dulles is estimated to take 12 minutes, costing $23–$50 for taxis or $20–$30 for Uber/other services, depending on time, traffic, and service level.

As noted above, Metro service is available from Dulles to Reston Town Center on Metro’s Silver Line. From Dulles, travel three stops along the Silver Line to the Reston Town Center Metro station, exit the Metro station, and take the linkRTC shuttle to the Hyatt Regency. From National Airport to the HotelPicture of Reagan National Airport

A taxicab or ride service from National Airport is estimated to take 35 minutes, costing $55–$78 for taxis or $40–$60 for Uber/other services, depending on time, traffic, and service level.

As noted above, Metro service is available from National Airport to Reston Town Center on Metro’s Silver Line. From National Airport, take the Blue Line to the Rosslyn Metro station; transfer to the Silver Line, taking it to the Reston Town Center Metro station; exit the Metro station; and take the linkRTC shuttle to the Hyatt Regency. From BWI Airport to the Hotel

A taxicab or ride service from BWI is estimated to take 65 minutes, costing $118-$130 for taxis or $120-$200 for Uber/other services, depending on time, traffic, and service level. Metro is not available from BWI Airport.

Trains

Reston, Virginia, is served by the Northeast Regional Amtrak train, which runs several routes daily. The nearest Amtrak rail stop to the Hyatt Regency in Reston Town Center is in Burke, Virginia, approximately 18 miles from the hotel.

  • From New York, New York, to Burke, Virginia, the Northeast Regional train can take from 4 to 8 hours, depending on train schedule selected.
  • From Richmond to Burke, Virginia, the Northeast Regional train can take from 5 to 15 hours, depending on train schedule selected.

A taxicab or ride service from the Burke, Virginia, Amtrak station is estimated to take 30 minutes, costing between $60-$75 for taxis or $30-$45 for Uber/other services, depending on time, traffic, and service level.

Ground Transportation

Metro Service (Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority)

The Metro station closest to the Hyatt Regency Reston is the Reston Town Center station, located on the Silver Line. A map of the Metro system can be viewed on this Metro website. The Hyatt Regency is a ½ mile, or a 12 to 15-minute, walk from the Metro station.

Shuttle service is available to Reston Town Center. The linkRTC shuttle runs every 15 minutes from the Reston Town Center Metro station to the Hyatt Regency.

Parking

STAM attendees will be offered a 25% discount on overnight and daily self-parking at the Hyatt Regency Reston. The discounted rates are $13.50 for overnight parking and $15.00 for daily parking. Parking is in the self-parking garage adjacent to the hotel. Valet parking is not available.

Shuttle Service From the Reston Town Center Metro Station and Dulles Airport

There is no direct shuttle service between Dulles and the Hyatt Regency. However, the linkRTC shuttle runs to Reston Town Center every 15 minutes, with one stop at the Hyatt Regency Reston and one stop at the Reston Town Center Metro station (which is accessible via Metro from Dulles). The linkRTC shuttle runs every 15 minutes, between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, with pickup and drop-off stops at the Hyatt Regency and Reston Town Center Metro stop in addition to a few other stops. Driving Directions

From Points North (Includes Tolls)

  1. Take I-95 south from New York to the New Jersey Turnpike, to Delaware, and into Maryland, and then take Exit 27 to I-495 west.
  2. Take I-495 west to Exit 45A and merge onto Virginia Route 267 west (toward Reston).
  3. Travel on Virginia Route 267 west to Exit 12 to Virginia Route 602 (Reston Parkway).
  4. Turn right onto Reston Parkway toward Reston Town Center, turn left onto Bluemont Way, and then turn right onto President’s Street.
  5. Proceed to the hotel on your right at 1800 Presidents Street.

From Points South (Includes Tolls)

  1. Take I-95 north from Richmond to Exit 25 to I-495 north.
  2. Take I-495 north to Exit 45A and merge onto Virginia Route 267 west (toward Reston).
  3. Travel on Virginia Route 267 west to Exit 12 to Virginia Route 602 (Reston Parkway).
  4. Turn right onto Reston Parkway toward Reston Town Center, turn left onto Bluemont Way, and then turn right onto Presidents Street.
  5. Proceed to the hotel on your right at 1800 Presidents Street.

From Points West (Includes Tolls)

  1. Follow I-68 east to I-70 east to I-340 east/US Route 15 south into Virginia.
  2. Once in Virginia, use the right lane to take Virginia Route 267 east (toward IAD/Washington) and take Exit 12 for Virginia Route 602 (Reston Parkway).
  3. Turn right onto Reston Parkway toward Reston Town Center, turn left onto Bluemont Way, and then turn right onto Presidents Street.
  4. Proceed to the hotel on your right at 1800 Presidents Street.

From Points East (Includes Tolls)

  1. From Annapolis or points east, take US-50 West towards Washington.
  2. Take exit 7B onto I-495 North towards Baltimore, Silver Spring.
  3. Take exit 45A to merge onto SR 267 West towards Reston Herndon. Take exit 12 onto Reston Parkway SR-602.
  4. Turn right onto Reston Parkway toward Reston Town Center, turn left onto Bluemont Way, and then turn right onto Presidents Street.
  5. Proceed to the hotel on your right at 1800 Presidents Street.
